The Dunbars

Dr. Ian, Kelly, and Jamie Dunbar are the trio behind various dog training ventures. Ian, a veterinary graduate with a Ph.D. in dog behavior, pioneered the first off-leash puppy socialization classes and founded the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. Kelly, originally from Chicago, became one of the first certified pet dog trainers and has managed multiple training and daycare facilities. Jamie, Ian's son, is a Brown University graduate who initially joined as a video editor but now handles marketing and content creation. Together, they have launched initiatives like Dog Star Daily and Open Paw to offer free training resources and support for shelters. Their collective work has impacted hundreds of thousands of dogs and their owners.

Information I can pass on to the rescue organization I foster for. I recommend this to anyone who works in and around dogs.

Wow...just wow!! The wealth of information is invaluable. Thank you for this incredible summit. As a R+ trainer, I advocate for fear free methods on every level as anxiety is crippling and seeing dogs improve with an integrative and/or traditional approach that helps the welfare of an animal is such an amazing, eye opening opportunity. Addressing a root cause before starting a training journey is so important to set an animal up for success. Thank you again for presenting this summit.

I kove the examples of a raw food diet and how to transition. Listening to the benefits of raw and how it can help in differet diseases as well

My sister and my friend whose dog was recently diagnosed with acute pancreatitis

Kelly is not only an awesome dog trainer but also a great interviewer. Years ago before virtual learning became dominant I attended a few live workshops with Dr. Dunbar , once a three day training with the attendees' many dogs in the classroom, and since that time I became Ian's dedicated fan. There are many talented trainers around now but what attracts me to the Dunbars' model of training is its very down-to-earth approach. Simple, fun and always much to learn! Thank you!

Everyone who loves dogs and wants to make their own and their doggies' lives easier and happier.

All the different perspectives + tips that points to one goal, good gut health! So nice to have confirmation that these fresh and raw diets aren't so scary and that I can start the road to a better diet and gut health with confidence. Every. Single. Dog. Owner. It makes me incredible upset that people go to their vet and come home with Royal Canin or Hill's Science and that's all the nutritional information they get. Even if you go a step further and start researching yourself, it's a headache to navigate through all the conflicting information! This has been eye opening and everyone should have this information to make the best choices possible for their pet.
