Dr. Ian Billinghurst is a nutritionist, agricultural scientist, veterinary surgeon, acupuncturist, and nutritional consultant. He is the author of "Give Your Dog a Bone", "Grow Your Pups With Bones", "The BARF Diet" and “Pointing the Bone at Cancer”. His first three books discuss the basic principles of canine (and feline) nutrition using raw, whole, and commonly available foods. His fourth book looks at nutrition and cancer. He conducts clinical and literature research into nutrition, writes and lectures on evolutionary nutrition, and has produced his own brand of pet foods. He is widely regarded as “The Father of RAW Feeding”.

Mariah Pierson has been passionate about animals since childhood, fostering small wildlife, owning exotic pets, and dedicating her life to their wellness following a personal pet loss. Her career spans volunteering at an exotic pet store as a child, working at a pet daycare and boarding facility, and acquiring broad experience in the veterinary industry, which ignited her interest in raw diet and nutrition, and the understanding of some veterinarians' resistance towards it. Mariah combined her research in canine, feline, mustelid, and erinaceidae nutrition with her veterinary experience to start Paws of Prey, a YouTube channel she runs with her partner to share her knowledge, and earned a certification in canine nutrition in 2021 with plans to further her education in animal nutrition.

Julie Anne Lee, DCH, RcsHOM, has been the owner and practitioner of some of North America's busiest and long-standing holistic veterinary hospitals and clinics. This includes founding the first licensed strictly holistic veterinary clinic in Canada. She developed and taught a three-year post-graduate program for veterinarians at the College of Animal Homeopathic Medicine and also presented lectures for the American Homeopathic Veterinary Association on homeopathy and functional pathology, the British Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons Association on treating chronic disease, the Canadian Society of Homeopaths on clinical comparisons of the treatment of human to animals, P.E.I Veterinary University on the gut microbiome, and many more over the last 20 years.
